Westminster Presbyterian Church

This majestic church goes back to the year 1816 with ten founding members who organized organized “under the oak tree below the railroad”. The land was where the church still stands today, and was originally owned by Matthew Caldwell Jr, the founder of Piqua and also a member of Westminster. In 1889, the site was purchased from Caldwell’s estate and construction of a new church building in the Romanesque Revival design began.
