Leonard Parker House

This Italianate home was built in 1878 by Leonard and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Parker. Lizzie purchased the property in 1877 for $1500. The property had previously been the site of North School from 1846 to 1874 when it was torn down and the school relocated to Park Avenue. The original design of the house did not include the wraparound porch. The porch was added sometime between 1887 and 1910. The house retains the original stained glass windows, pocket doors, plaster moldings, and carved woodwork as well as the carriage house in the back of the property.
