Albert B. & Margaret Wilson House
Location
717 Caldwell St., Piqua, OH 45356
Architecture
Colonial Revival
Established
1940
Margaret Wilson purchased the lot from Minna E. Howard in 1939. Albert B. Wilson operated
Wilson’s Paint & Wallpaper Store at 425 N. Main St. in Piqua. This simple two-story hip-roofed Colonial Revival dwelling has a 3-bay balanced façade. The central entrance is enriched with a classical pediment and pilasters. Corner pilasters mark the cascade as well. Decorative drainage spouting flanks the doorway. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms. The original sleep porch on the second floor was converted to a second full bath in 1986. A single car garage is attached to the house via a breezeway. The Peltier’s bought the home in 1993 and added a
900-square foot addition to the back of the house in 1998.
